Horseshoe Cross & Painting

Horseshoe Cross & Painting

Jade Cross on Horseshoe CrossAs mentioned in Our Story we often see things and say “I can do that”.  Well I (Handy Hubs) recently saw something that caught my eye and felt that it would be a fine project for me to tackle on my own.

This project presented the perfect opportunity for me to use my new welder as well. To start, I purchased some horseshoes at the local farm store and layed out my plan. Knowing that my mom’s birthday was coming up around the corner, I felt even more inspired to create something unique. My mother is a big fan of horses and the Lord.

I was able to put this piece together in about 20 min or so and added a hammered dark bronze paint to it. A few weeks later, while at a Saturday mega yard sale, Mer came across a lovely turquoise cross necklace and thought it would add just the right finishing touch.  Since mom loves Turquoise anything, I had to agree.

Margaret's HorseTo compliment the Iron Works, Merideth added a softer side to this birthday gift with a hand painted watercolor using colors that compliment mom’s house. Yes the lovely designer of Tumbleweed can paint too, (I don’t think there is anything she can’t do).
